Major Ruman Mahmood, te, MBA (DU)

Major Ruman Mahmood (Retd) comes from a respectable Muslim family of Dhaka. Youngest son of a Government Service holder, he was commissioned in Bangladesh Army in 1990 in the Corp of Signals. He is a BSc Engineer (Telecommunication) from KUET. Major Ruman has also obtained his MBA degree from the University of Dhaka in Management Studies. He took voluntary retirement from Bangladesh Army in 2005.

 

During his career in the Army, Major Ruman served in various appointments to include Adjutant, Company Commanders of few Signal Regiments and instructor of Army Administration School. He served with the United Nations (UNIKOM) as Military Observer and also served as Personnel Staff officer in UNIKOM HQ. He also attended personnel administration training in Turkey and digital PBX training in Germany.

 

After retiring from Army, Major Ruman had been serving with few MNCs (Multi-National Companies) and local Conglomerate for last 16 years in the areas of Technical Services, Project Management and Sales/Marketing. He is a widely traveled person and visited many countries of Europe, Australia, Asia, United States of America and African continents. Major Ruman is also a member/life member of IEB, RAOWA (Retired Armed Forces Officers Welfare Association), CCCL (Cadet College Club) and JEXCA (Jhenaidah Ex Cadet Association). He is happily married with two sons.
