Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Tarique Iqbal (retd), psc, MDS, MBA (DU)

Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Tarique Iqbal was commissioned in the Infantry Regiment of the Army, trained in Bangladesh Military Academy. Earned ‘psc’ degree from Defense Services Command and Staff College. Obtained  MBA from the University of Dhaka and Masters in Defense Studies from National University.

During his 20 years military career, Colonel Tarique held various appointments to include Commanding Officer of an Infantry Battalion, Second in Command of a Divisional Support Battalion and Company Commander in the elite President’s Guard Regiment. He worked as Operations Staff Officer in the Northern Region HQ of United Nations Mission in Mozambique. Colonel Tarique has also worked as volunteer in United Nations Mission in Timor-Leste. He received advanced training on conduct of UN sponsored elections from Australia.

Colonel Tarique  has extensive experience of working in the private security industry. He is the Founding Managing Director & CEO of Orion security services limited. Orion is regarded as one of the best security companies of the country for  its’ impeccable service quality and customer satisfaction, with more than 8000 security professionals working for multinational companies, international NGOs, Banks, Factories, Warehouses, Government organizations and Corporate houses. It’s a privilege to be part of such a good organization. Orion’s aim is to create more job opportunities for the thousands of unemployed youth, in a country where people are forced to go to the extreme limit to make a living to support their poor families.

Loves to explore wild life in its natural habitat.
